Graduate Salon Manager
Rachel manages our salon, where our level 3 Hair and Beauty students get to experience working in a well-equipped commercial salon open to the public.
Her career in hairdressing began in 2000. She has since worked at a variety of professional salons, increasing her industry expertise.
Rachel has completed her assessor award and her PTTLS. She is very passionate about hairdressing and believes that teaching our students to work using well-established Wella methods will ensure that they have the best possible start to their careers.
Sara began her career as a Beauty Therapist at Champneys in Tring, Hertfordshire. Whilst at Champneys, she delivered high-end treatments. Her clients included many famous personalities, from film stars to royalty.
She then moved onto a hotel Spa in Kensington, London, gaining experience of working in a different environment before moving to a small health farm in the Cotswolds. Looking for a career challenge, Sara started her own business, offering mobile level 2 and 3 treatments, alongside consultancy work as an electrotherapist.
She later scaled this down to concentrate on a change of career path as a teacher, which she has found to be one of the best moves of her career. Sara finds teaching a very rewarding a fulfilling experience. Becoming Learning Manager for Hair and Beauty has enabled Sara to develop the department and focus on giving students commercial experience, which is good for employability.
Despite her busy schedule, Sara always has time for students and staff and is happy to be approached.
She has gained many qualifications throughout her career, including: CIDESCO Confederation of International Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology Diploma, Diploma of Positive Health, Aromatherapy and Cosmetic Camouflage.
