This month, second year Vehicle Restoration students visited the Sir Henry Royce Memorial Foundation in Northamptonshire.
The students were given an informative guided tour of the building, workshops and museum. They were also given an exclusive view of the archives where records, chassis cards and test records are held and stored for over 100,000 cars. They were shown the vast photographic library, an archive of coach-building history and a library containing virtually every Rolls-Royce and Bentley book ever written.
Matt Salt, Vehicle Restoration teacher said; “The trip was an excellent experience and was a great chance for the students to see the classic exhibition. They were fully engaged, asking questions on their way around the memorial and took great interest in seeing the workshops.”
